Malcolm Myer Announces Candidacy for vacant seat: Louisiana House District 67

Baton Rouge, LA — Malcolm Myer, a seasoned public servant and trusted community advocate, has announced his candidacy for State Representative in District 67. As a former Assistant Clerk of the Louisiana House of Representatives, former Deputy Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, and former State Director for U.S. Senator John Breaux — in addition to appointments under five Louisiana Governors — he brings unmatched experience and is prepared to deliver real solutions on day one.

"These are tough times in our community, but things can improve. I am running for State Representative because I have the experience to make District 67 the best version of itself. I have lived and worked here for over 30 years and care deeply about the place we call home. I'm running because we need a new approach -- an experienced fighter with fresh ideas that will provide the solutions required for the safety and economic growth of our citizens and communities," said Malcolm Myer, candidate for State Representative District 67.

Malcolm has been married to Renée Boutte Myer for over 30 years. Together, they have one daughter, Madelyn Myer, and two rescue dogs, Atticus and Barry. Malcolm and Renée have also served as foster parents to several children over the years.

Malcolm is a member of St.Francis Xavier Catholic Church and a Lifetime Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Malcolm will continue his commitment to community service and provide solutions for the toughest challenges facing District 67
